After 7 months of the 12th Annual Gillenkirk Reunion – I’ve decided to do a complete overhaul of the www.gillenkirk.com – Website; there’s a lot of new changes.

We were using an “Open Source Script” called PHP-Fusion; I’ve switched to another “Open Source Script” called WordPress whereas has more plugins and better looking themes.

We’ve moved over the original posts and pages; all links have more SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for easy to remember links to find the pages easily.

I’ve re-created the “Registration” page with the updated questions from last year’s registration and survey.

As I’ve stated before, we’ve switched to WordPress and has a plugin that has an easier way of providing a photo gallery with a “ThinkBox” option with a nice preview for a Web 2.0 website.

We’re now socially connected via Facebook and Twitter – you can visit our social networks by clicking them on the side of Follow Us.

We have a brand new looking style – and the logo fits right in with the new theme. May do a few revisions too it.

I would like to say, Welcome to our newly done website; Register on this website if you like; submit a registration or please donate for the 13th Annual Gillenkirk Reunion; which we’ll have updated details about soon enough.

Sunday, February 27, 2011 – Aunt Judy had a birthday party for Grandpa (Vincent Gillenkirk) as his birthday was that Saturday and celebrated on Sunday with a dinner, cake and ice cream. We had Ham, Au Gratin Potato’s, Cream Corn, Rolls and Baked Beans. For desert, I believe it was Banana Nut Cake – for people like me who don’t care for that there were cupcakes provided and fudge swirl ice cream I believe.
Dinner turned out really good as well desert. Judy, Lynette, James, Christina, Roger, Sabrina (I think) Steve, Stephanie, Brandy, Cory and Grandpa was there.

We’ve mostly talked – about the family and some stuff about the reunion like for example – there were some issues in regards to kids games like you cannot toss eggs or do water balloons as some parents had an issue with this. We’ll we’re going to allow this – this year, but we’ll bring a few towels to make sure the kids are dried off – and at least not messy.
